Botsford to sponsor & speak at TechAmerica Environmental Compliance Conference - Boston

Botsford EcoTech Partners is again supporting the TechAmerica Roadshow in April at the Boston event. Botsford speaking at IPC ApexExpo 2010 on RoHS Recast

Krista Botsford will be giving the latest updates on the EU's RoHS Recast at a free forum during the event. She will be part of an industry panel discussing how the changes to environmental compliance will impact the PBC and other segments of the electronics industry. The free forum (FF04) will be held on Thursday, April 8th from 10:30 to noon Pacific Time. For more information, visit the IPC ApexExpo website.

Botsford presents at SEMI SCM 2010

Krista Botsford presented the latest installment of "Death, Taxes, and Eco-compliance to a packed venue at SEMI's 2010 Strategic Materials Conference. Her presentation gave a brief overview of the current happenings within product eco-compliance. The remaining time covered the best practices and latest lessons learned in the quest for sustaining product environmental compliance. Botsford attends SMTAI 2009

Though not speaking, Krista Botsford did attend the Lead Free forum during 2009 SMTA International in San Diego, CA. While in attendance at the conference, an informal session around updates to the legislation materialized. Botsford was instrumental in facilitating this informal meeting. The 2010 organizing committee has been approached to include a formal session.

Botsford sponsors 2009 TechAmerica IECC Road Show stop in Boston

Botsford EcoTech Partners continued its tradition of sponsoring the AeA/TechAmerica roadshow event in Boston. The event was again held at Philips Medical. Distinguished speakers from around the world gave presentations on the latest eco-compliance information. Among the presenters, Krista Botsford delivered a presentation on the lessons learned and best practices for companies to follow in their eco-compliance activities.

Botsford spoke at 2009 SMTA Pan Pacific Conference, Kona, HI

Founder Krista Botsford presented two papers at the SMTA Pan Pacific Conference in Kona, HI, in February 2009. The first paper, Eco-Compliance - Who, What, When, Where and Why, outlines the basics of eco-compliance and strategies for complying with existing and emerging legislation. The second paper, Data Storage System Design: Best Practices from Industry (Focusing on RoHS-Type Legislation), outlines best practices for data management for compliance with legislation for restricting hazardous substances in electronics and electrical equipment.

December 2008: Botsford speaks at SPRING Event in Singapore

Botsford EcoTech Partners' President and Founder Krista Botsford was invited back to SPRING Singapore to give her workshop on Eco-Compliance. She gave a two hour workshop gave best practices for data management and preparing for eco-audits; as well as recent developments on RoHS and WEEE type legislation in the European Union. July 2008: Botsford speaks at SPRING Event in Singapore

Botsford EcoTech Partners' President and Founder Krista Botsford was among industry leaders who spoke at the SPRING RoHS Compliance – Business Potential and Market Access Opportunities Event on 23 July 2008. She gave a presentation entitled: Update on EU & USA Environmental Legislation Covering Electronics; which covered the recent developments on RoHS and WEEE type legislation in the European Union and United States of America. April 2008: Botsford EcoTech Partners Launches New Website

Botsford EcoTech Partners, formerly 5-Trees LLC, has launched a new website, botsfordecotech.com. November 2007: 5-Trees' Botsford sounds off on e-waste
for Huffington Post and Ladies Who Launch

Krista Botsford of 5-Trees has just been tapped to write an article on e-waste for the Huffington Post's Living Now blog. October 2007: 5-Trees moves to Nashua NH

In late 2007, 5-Trees relocated their main office to Nashua, NH. "The move allows us not only to serve clients in the greater Boston area, but allow for easier travel to clients who require air travel." stated Botsford in a recent interview. 5-Trees' Krista Botsford has become a regular speaker at the IPC/JEDEC Lead-Free conferences. She has spoken on a range of topics from RoHS/WEEE, overall eco-compliance, updates on world-wide environmental regulations effecting technology (specifically electronics), and data storage systems for eco-compliance. April 2007: 5-Trees Sponsoring April 2007 AeA E-waste Event in Boston

for IPC Lead-Free Certification Program

Krista Botsford was selected as an auditor for the IPC RoHS Lead-Free Capabilities Program. Once her training is completed, she will be authorized through IPC to perform audits with the North American market. Click here for information.
